After burner kick: Good burst option, very versatile.Look to tech chase and catch landings with it. Heel slide: Great combo tool but also very easy to punish.Fair: Hard to land in neutral but is a powerful option to catch landings or approach opponents on platforms.Overall not a great aggressive move but useful for stuffing approaches or as a landing mixup. D-tilt: Bayo’s grounded poke option, kind of safe on shield when spaced.Best used as an anti-air option, or as a mixup out of the air/landing mix up. Here is another great youtube tutorial by Ra.Ĭombos, part 1: Combo starters, linkers, and finishersĬombo starters are Bayo’s main neutral tools. You’ll know you’ve done it correctly if Bayo starts moving down as she’s performing the fair 3 kick. This is an important neutral tool and combo starter.īy fast falling right before or during the fair 3 input, you can reach the ground more quickly and get big extensions off of fairs. The abk is low enough to the ground to hit uncrouched opponents. If you input a short hop and immediately ABK, Bayonetta will instantly perform the ABK seemingly without jumping at all. This is always true, even if you use second witch twist at a much later time than the first one! The second one knocks back opponents much closer to Bayonetta and leads directly into aerials, while the first one usually requires a jump to link aerials and only works at lower percentages. The first and second witch twists are actually unique moves from each-other and have different knock back properties. Here is a great youtube tutorial by Ra covering this fundamental tech. Finally it lets her move an extra small vertical distance with her witch twists. It also allows her to do two witch twists back to back. This allows Bayonetta to conserve her double jump if done correctly. Tech 1 (By far the most important!!!): Witch twist cancelled jumpsīayonetta has a four frame window to cancel her double jump with a witch twist. I will be going over the primary three Bayo specific techs here. Some of it is only for rare, stylish combos, some for niche situations, and finally some are absolutely necessary techniques needed to play Bayo at a basic level. If you like high skill-cap combo characters with stylish moves, then Bayonetta could be for you.īayonetta is full of character specific tech. Both of these abilities give Bayonetta the potential to kill very early with hard reads. Bayonetta also possesses powerful but slow smash attacks and a unique counter, witch time, that slows down the opponent. She is one of a few characters in the game who has ladder combos, which are combos that kill off the top blast zone. If you did not create something, then you should not post it.īayonetta is a combo centric character who specializes in long aerial strings.
